Project 6 - Portfolio
To present our work, it is important to build a portfolio. A lot has changed in this industry, from having everything on paper to now having it on a website and demonstrating our skills and experience in that way. In this project, we made sure to create a portfolio website that showcases our work and skills. We did this by using a website tool builder called WIX.
TASK 6.1 - Portfolio Research
This task we was going to learn and build a portfolio that made sure that the potential prospects can use my portfolio to see my work easily. I wanted to make sure that my website stood out in the market and make sure to make it intrigue and attention grabbing.

I went on to researching portfolio websites, in which would help me get a brief understanding of how a portfolio website is structured. This process was the most important process of the entire portfolio task, as This really helped me get ideas and start building upon them ideas to have a fully fletched website.
So here is my analysis of example of a portfolio website:
What I have done to find this portfolio website, I researched using secondary research by Googling examples of portfolio websites. I chose this portfolio websites for a reason, I noticed that the main navigation of this website, is basic but still clean.
Which inspired me into creating a cleaner and not too complicated portfolio website that the potential prospect is able to navigate through it easily and get to my work I've created faster.
Overall is very important to make your websites responsive and easy to use as possible.
After going through this website and many others, I found that most portfolio websites have clickable links on there project. Which in my opinion is very clean and very responsive.
How that I wanted to be more unique and create a different style of a portfolio website. So, after researching and analysing websites I went onto wix and started creating My Portfolio website from scratch.
My first time in wix was difficult, however over time I learned new skills and new tools that I could use to create a clean looking portfolio website.
This is my intro to the portfolio that I have created using the tutorials on wix. Personally, I wanted to go for something different, I wanted to build a website that is unique to my own style.
I have noticed that a lot of navigations have a home about me potentially A blog and information, i made sure to include these in my website however I didn't want to make it look clunky, so I created a a bar that you could click on that will lead you to various parts of my site.
Overall, I think my website didn't look bad at first, however I knew that I needed some feedback on this website that I could improve it. I went through and analysed my website and made sure to make the navigation a lot easier to use. So I went on and improved how a user is able to go through my website without any trouble.

TASK 6.2 - 6.3 - WIX PORTFOLIO
Creating a good portfolio website is difficult. However, it is really important to present your website professionally. That's why I made sure to make a simple yet impressive home page for the website. It is really important to keep it simple while also adding effort to make it professional.
What I personally did at the start of any project was explain what the project was and what the end goal was that wanted to be achieved. I believe that giving context will help the user understand what the project is about. So I decided to make this short introduction to any project.
The first project was really difficult, as I didn't have experience using Wix and building a portfolio with it. At first, I used this layout to demonstrate the work that I had completed. However, later i found that putting it cantered is a lot easier for the user to read and look at.

It is in my opinion a easier way of showcasing work, and straight to the point. I chose this way of showcasing this work, from the feedback that I have been given by one of my peers. this feedback has helped me, make the right decisions which lead me to creating a good looking website.
In the next section, I want to discuss my blog section. I created a blog to organise my theory work and separate most of my theory from the practical work. There is not much to discuss in this section, as it is made to be simple and basic.
I would also like to explain why I chose the fonts and the colour scheme. I have chosen the colour red as that is my favourite colour, and the fonts are bold, which was something I was looking for. I really liked the font, as it was bold and easy to read.
WIX FEEDBACK
Thanks to George for providing me this feedback. What I learned from this feedback, was that I should update my bio, and use my own images, and explain who I am. Not just that. It is also important to note that i have used a template for this website, which can seam like being lazy, however i changed the colours and fonts on this website. In the future, want to make my own website for my FMP and make sure not to use templates and be a bit more creative, which will help me build my skills in creating websites with WIX.
